Tottenham Hotspur may have a very busy final 48 hours of the transfer window, with Iliman Ndiaye not the only potential incoming.

Following Tottenham’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle United, Roberto De Zerbi admitted that Richarlison, Pape Sarr and Kevin Danso could all leave before the transfer deadline.

According to various reports, Spurs and Everton have agreed a double-deal for Richarlison and Iliman Ndiaye, who are expected to head in opposite directions.

Meanwhile, Pape Matar Sarr is edging closer to a move to Juventus, with the Bianconeri exploring signing the midfielder on loan with a conditional purchase clause.

Tottenham looking to add one more signing after Iliman Ndiaye

Spurs insider, Szyexcel, has now provided a positive update, revealing that Ndiaye is now ‘very close’ to sealing a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Interestingly, he also suggested that De Zerbi’s men are keen on adding one more player to their squad after the Senegal international’s signing.

Szyexcl said on X: “Iliman Ndiaye very close to THFC. Clubs exchanging final documents today. THFC plan for one more signing after Ndiaye.”

Spurs may go after a versatile defender

If Danso does depart the club, that will leave Tottenham without any natural cover for Kevin Danso at right centre-back.

Reports indicate that De Zerbi is also keen on adding an experienced right-back as cover for Pedro Porro, even though the Italian has backed Archie Gray publicly.

Tottenham may thus be looking for a versatile defender who can cover for both right-back and centre-back, and one European football expert has suggested that former Arsenal defender Ainsley Maitland-Niles may be the answer to Spurs’ problems.
