“I’m a big fan of Arsenal” – Ludogorets striker admits he wants to do Gunners a favour by beating Spurs

Despite reports on Tuesday indicating that Tottenham’s Europa League clash against Ludogorets was under threat of being postponed after some positive COVID-19 tests in the Bulgarian side’s camp (Tema Sport via Football.London), it looks like the game is set to go ahead as planned.

The match is a crucial one for Tottenham, who cannot afford any more slip-ups after their loss to Royal Antwerp last month.

Tottenham, Antwerp and LASK have all registered six points from their first three matches and a win tonight will be important for the Lilywhites in their quest to qualify for the knock out stages.

Spurs will take confidence from the fact that they brushed Ludogorets aside 3-1 in Bulgaria at the start of the month.

However, Ludogorets striker Elvis Manu, who admitted to being a big fan of Tottenham’s fierce North London rivals, Arsenal, is determined to spoil the party for Jose Mourinho’s men.

The striker has started the season in excellent form, with six goals in eleven appearances in all competitions so far, including a hat-trick in a 4-3 defeat to Austrian side LASK (transfermarkt.com).

Speaking about the clash against Spurs, the Dutch striker told Voetbal International (as relayed by Sport Witness): “A European hat-trick is something special, I noticed from all the attention,”

“I’m a big fan of Arsenal, so I think I’ll do them a favour with that (against Spurs).

“Henry, Pires, Bergkamp, Ljungberg, Lehmann. During that time I really fell in love with Arsenal.”
