Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has said that he is ‘almost sure’ rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Marcelo Brozovic will sign a new contract at the San Siro.
Conte is alleged to have asked Tottenham to snap up Brozovic, who was a vital part of his title-winning side at Inter last season.
The Croatian international’s current deal at the San Siro runs out at the end of the season and, when asked about signing a potential renewal, the midfielder’s agent said earlier this month: “we’ll see.”
TuttoMercatoWeb revealed last week that Inter have not been able to meet Brozovic’s wage demands and that negotiations between the parties had stalled.
The report further claimed the Serie A giants were fearful that the likes of Spurs could turn the 29-year-old’s head.
However, Marotta has now said he is optimistic that the experienced midfielder will commit his future to the Nerazzurri.
When asked about Brozovic’s future, the Inter chief said (via Fabrizio Romano): “I hope Marcelo Brozovic will stay and extend his contract.

Spurs Web Opinion
I am not sure that we particularly need a player like Brozovic, with Skipp and Hojbjerg both at the club.
Skipp has shown this season that he has the potential to evolve into a top defensive midfielder.
Depending on how Ndombele and Dele fare under Conte, a more dynamic midfielder like Franck Kessie might be a bigger priority for Spurs in January.
