Tottenham Hotspur attacker Richarlison has spoken out against those who criticise him, insisting he is committed to proving them wrong and improving his game.
Richarlison arrived at Tottenham in the summer for £60 million (Sky Sports) and has immediately endeared himself to those connected with the North London club thanks to his hard work and passion on the pitch.
With two goals and two assists from his first eight games for Spurs (Transfermarkt), Richarlison has had no problem earning plaudits in England.
Now a key part of the Brazilian national team, it seems some fans from South America have been less convinced with Richarlison.
His recent displays during this international break though, where Richarlison added three goals and an assist to his tally for Brazil (Transfermarkt), should help to silence his detractors.
Richarlison now looks set to lead the line for Brazil at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, and the Samba star is happy with his progress as a player of late.
Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Richarlison had a message for anyone who doubted him: “My charge in the last game was more because of that. It seems that there’s nobody upfront, there’s no number 9.

“Every time I come here I score my goals. It seems that people from Brazil do not see us there in Europe. We work hard there too, do our serious work there, score goals. And that’s why I got to the selection. It’s about staying focused.
Looking ahead, Richarlison said: “I’m on the right track. Of course, I still need to improve things, and Professor Conte will fix my mistakes there.”

Richarlison is just going from strength to strength. He’s impressed everyone at Tottenham Hotspur since joining, and now he’s banging in the goals at international level too. All signs point to the Brazilian having a fantastic World Cup, and I think he will surprise a few people on the big stage.
The work ethic and attitude of Richarlison is exactly the kind of player Antonio Conte looks for, and it’s clear that they share a great relationship already. It’s exciting to think how good a player Richarlison could become under Conte.
