‘I’m so proud’ – Son reacts after reaching major milestone in a Spurs shirt

After netting his 150th goal for Tottenham, Son Heung-min has taken to social media to admit that he is proud of reaching such a big milestone.

After winning the Golden Boot in the 2020-21 campaign, Son went off the boil for much of last season, which led some to question whether the South Korean was past his best.

The forward admitted in the summer that he was playing through injury for much of last campaign (The Athletic) and he now looks like a rejuvenated player under Ange Postecoglou, having found the back of the net five times in the first six Premier League matches of the season (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

It is very rare in modern football that players genuinely feel a connection with one club and one set of fans, and turn down the opportunity to move to ‘bigger’ clubs for the sake of their career.

We are so lucky that Son is one of those rare breed of footballers who genuinely loves Spurs as much as the supporters do.
