Steve Bruce is considering speaking to Harry Redknapp about the future of Alan Hutton.

The Scottish right-back is on loan at Sunderland from Tottenham Hotspur and Bruce wants to sign him on a permanent deal.

As part of the loan agreement, Hutton is unavailable for tomorrow’s game at the Stadium of Light, but Bruce has been impressed with his displays for the club.

“He has done very well and I like him as a character,” Bruce said of Hutton in the Daily Star.

“I’m tempted to have a word with Harry after the game, although he will probably pass me on to his chairman.

“My immediate aim is to catch Blackburn and finish in the top 10.”

  1. You're welcome to the overrated Scots man, he came to the club with so much promise but failed to live up to any of it. Constantly gets caught out of position and looks lost in the Premier League.
