As usual, eyebrows were raised that the FIFA World 11 team of the year this week, with only two Premier League stars included on the list.

Liverpool keeper Alisson and central defender Virgil Van Dijk deservedly made the XI, but they were surrounded by a host of stars from Spain, France, and Italy.

Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Eden Hazard, and Luka Modric all made the list from Real Madrid, despite the Spanish side getting knocked out of the Champions League at the round of 16 stage.

Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona were included, while Matthias de Ligt and Ronaldo made the cut from Juventus. Kylian Mbappe was the final entrant.

However, ex-Spurs star, Andros Townsend, has now revealed his 11 picks, and he has gone for a far more Premier League orientated group, including a certain Mr Harry Kane.
