Tottenham Hotspur fans will still be buzzing from their club securing a club record signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon earlier this week.

The midfield powerhouse signed for an initial fee of £53.8m, which could increase over time to £62.8m (BBC).

Meanwhile, across the other side of North London, the cash-strapped Arsenal managed to bring in 18-year-old forward Gabriel Martinelli (BBC).

Some Spurs fans have pointed out the hilarious contrast in the first interviews from the respective signings.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. In all honesty as a Spurs fan I think we should concentrate and focus attention on our own transfer activity and forget about any churlish notions of gloating or derision towards others. All this petty animosity and hatred is so old and pointless.
