Image – Statistic table shows where Spurs are going wrong this season

Tottenham Hotspur have been far from their best so far this season, with their 14th position in the Premier League table reflecting that fact.

Spurs have won just three games all season in the league and their 14 points tally puts them closer to relegation than it does to those pivotal Champions League spots.

A new stable of statistics compiled from InStat (via Football London), has revealed that Spurs are lagging way behind their top-six rivals in final third passes conceded.

Spurs sit ninth in the table for this stat, having given away 135 passes inside their own third of the pitch this season.

That puts them below Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United, and Arsenal, as well as Everton, Leicester, West Ham, Brighton, and Bournemouth.

Spurs will need to tighten up defensively and give the opposition far less time and space in their own defensive area if they hope to turn results around.
