‘Imagine’ – Pep Guardiola is already thinking about facing Tottenham away

Pep Guardiola has admitted that his players face a difficult run-in, pointing to their visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as one of the main challenges that they have left.

Tottenham will have a big say on where the Premier League title ends up this season as the Lilywhites are due to play all three of their title contenders, starting with their clash against Arsenal this Sunday.

Spurs fans will be keen to see their side overturn the old enemy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and seriously dent their title bid.

However, following that game, Arsenal fans will actually be cheering on their rivals to get results against both Liverpool and City to aid their title tilt.

The Premier League champions will travel to Spurs for the penultimate game of the season on May 14 and they potentially face a huge challenge as they have failed to score a single league goal or take a single point from their visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Man City face tough test away to Tottenham

Ahead of City’s clash against Brighton, Guardiola identified the clash against Spurs as one of the toughest his side have left.

He said about City’s clash against the Seagulls (via Manchester Evening News): “They’ll test us in ways we are not used to. In that moment we have to be strong and patient and at the same time make them uncomfortable – so it might be the toughest.

“I’m not saying the other ones are not – because of course imagine Spurs away or Fulham away – but for the way they play it will be so difficult and we have to be ready.”

If Arsenal and City are still neck-to-neck by the time Guardiola’s men visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, most Spurs fans will undoubtedly be desperate for City to win. So it might be a strange atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for that clash.
