In Focus: Christian Eriksen

With every passing performance from this man, I grow more and more anxious over his dwindling contract.

Christian Eriksen ran the show from start to finish this evening, and the impact he has on these kids of games can often go unnoticed.

If you forget about the match and just keep your eyes on him for a few minutes of the 90, you can see just exactly how skilled this young man is.

He is constantly ghosting into space, demanding the ball, and shifting it on into dangerous areas with one or two touches.

He also has the ability to almost see runs before they have even happened, something that comes from playing with this same settled squad for a number of years now.

The Dane chalked up his 100th goal involvement this evening (goals and assists), and it’s not surprise as he is one of the very best in the League in the final third.

He took his goal with aplomb too, shifting it away from his feet, opening his body to curl it into the far corner, before dragging it into the near. The keeper had no chance.

Tottenham must simply do everything in their power to stop this guy from leaving.
