In Focus: The entire Tottenham team and their awful showing against Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur were pretty poor at the weekend against Burnley, and that continued tonight as they made it back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.

Spurs travelled to Stamford Bridge, and despite a win there last season, resumed normal service with a 2-0 loss.

The team was sloppy, slow, lethargic, and just all round poor throughout the ninety minutes.

Hugo Lloris was at the forefront of the mistakes again, as he let Pedro’s near post shot squeeze through his legs, before getting in a mix up with Trippier for the second.

Trippier somehow threaded the ball past his own keeper, despite having all the time in the world to look up and assess the situation.

Toby Alderweireld allowed Pedro to cut inside and beat him for the opener, with Ben Davies having previously let him run in behind without challenge.

Winks and Sissoko were unable to find any pockets of space, or balls to thread through to the attacking players.

That was largely down to the attackers themselves though, as the lack of movement was worrying at times.

Kane and Eriksen barely touched the ball, and when they did it didn’t stay in Tottenham possession for long. Erik Lamela and Heung Min Son seemed to put in a little more effort, but also lacked any end product.

All round awful display.
