In Focus: The team performance

Tottenham Hotspur encapsulated free-flowing Premier League football at its very best this evening, thumping six goals past a stunned Everton.

Spurs went behind early in the game, but turned the fixture on its head to claim their first points of the season from a losing position.

Harry Kane and Heung Min Son each scored a brace, with Dele Alli and Eriksen both taking a break from running the show to add a goal of their own.

The fullbacks were excellent both going forward and defensively, always offering another outlet for their team mates.

Trippier in particular was on fire this evening with his passing and lobbed through balls.

Sanchez had a great first game back alongside Toby Alderweireld who was characteristically dominant in all respects.

Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko kept things moving expertly in the engine room, which is especially impressive once you consider how much football those boys have been playing.

Every man did his job in a Tottenham shirt tonight, and it only proves to be a further testament to Poch and Levy deciding on a settled squad for this season.

These boys are playing their way into title contention.
