Timo Werner is excited to be joining Tottenham Hotspur for another year in the Premier League following his loan move from RB Leipzig, which was announced this evening.

Werner joined Spurs on a six-month loan back in the January transfer window as emergency cover during a difficult injury spell for the Lilywhites, and Ange Postecoglou subsequently thrust him right into the starting XI.
The former Chelsea man ended up making 13 Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites last season, scoring twice and assisting another three in that time (transfermarkt).
It hasn’t taken Tottenham long to officially announce their first signing of the summer, before the transfer window has even officially opened.

Timo Werner reacts to joining Tottenham Hotspur again
The official club website put out a message this evening stating: “We are delighted to announce an agreement for Timo Werner to rejoin us on loan from RB Leipzig for the 2024/25 season, with an option to make the deal permanent.”
Ahead of an exciting domestic and European campaign, it seems Werner himself can’t wait to get started. Having missed out on the Germany squad for Euro 2024, the forward will link up with Postecoglou and co after his summer break as the squad gears towards pre-season.
Werner took to Instagram to send a message to fans: ‘Happy to be a Spurs next year! Looking forward to see you all in the stadium for an incredible season.’
Spurs Web Opinion:
An absolute no-brainer of a deal from Tottenham. I don’t expect it to influence the signing of a big-name forward, but Werner will provide excellent cover next year. With the likes of Bryan Gil probably leaving and Ivan Perisic having already gone, Tottenham were in need of more depth out wide.
