The stat which puts Janssen above Eriksen and Heung-min Son

Tottenham Hotspur have had an incredible season in front of goal this year, with Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura, Christian Eriksen, and Dele Alli all chipping in with superb strikes through the campaign.

However, it was not a dream season for Dutch forward Vincent Janssen, as he struggled with injuries and a lack of game time until very recently.

While Janssen appeared a few times in the last few Premier League matches of the season, he was unable to notch a goal in the competition.

His season is also now over, as the striker was not picked to be in Mauricio Pochettino’s Champions League squad, and therefore is ineligible for the final.

However, Janssen can take solace in the fact that he managed to beat both Eriksen and Sonny in one key goal-striking stat, headed attempts.

As the Dutch forward almost bagged a last-minute headed equaliser against West Ham last month, he registered one attempted headed goal all season.

Surprisingly, this was one more than both Eriksen and Son, who each failed to register one header towards goal.
