‘Individual quality’ – Joleon Lescott predicts Tottenham v Liverpool score

Former footballer turned pundit Joleon Lescott has made his predictions for the weekend’s Premier League fixtures and he thinks Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool will play out a draw.

Spurs are back on track it seems. After a couple of demoralising defeats to Manchester United and Newcastle United recently, dramatic wins against Bournemouth and Marseille have put a spring back in the step of the Spurs faithful.

The Lilywhites currently sit third in the Premier League table, and have enjoyed their best start to a domestic campaign since the Premier League era began.

Liverpool on the other hand, have struggled to capture the form that has seen them challenge at the very top of the Premier League for the past few years.

Defeat to newly-promoted Nottingham Forest was followed by another loss to Leeds United and Liverpool find themselves in 9th place in the league going into the weekend.

Offering his predictions to Live Score, former Everton and Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has Tottenham and Liverpool pinned as a 1-1 draw when they face each other on Sunday afternoon.

Lescott said: “Heung-Min Son is ruled out of this one and that’s a hammer blow for Spurs — he’s so influential in these close encounters. Even without the South Korean, there’s no lack of individual quality in both camps and it’ll likely be a case of which marquee players turn up.

“I can’t split these two so I’m going to sit on the fence!”

Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool.

Spurs Web Opinion

It’s never easy coming up against Liverpool, regardless of the form they currently find themselves in. While it would be great if we can take advantage of their poor run and register a real statement win, I would gladly take a point to be honest, especially given our injury worries at present.
