Injured City star could miss Tottenham clash

Bad news out of Manchester for City fans today, as Kevin De Bruyne has picked up a serious knee injury in training.

The champions could be without their star player for up to 8 weeks if initial reports are accurate.

De Bruyne clocked up eight goals and a huge 16 assists in 37 league games last campaign but could be out for as long as two months at the very start of the champions’ defence.

His current expected return is placed just before a key clash with Tottenham on October 28, but it’s touch and go whether the Belgian will be fit and injury free by that date.

However, this isn’t the only question mark on the October Spurs fixture, as Tottenham are still unsure of where their ‘home’ match will be played.
