Injury boosts for Tottenham ahead of their MNF clash with Manchester United

Reports suggest that Manchester United will be without a key player for the tie against Tottenham on Monday Night Football next week.

Alexis Sanchez is said to be a major doubt for the clash, something that will bring joy to the Spurs’ fans ears, considering the attacker’s Arsenal links.

Manchester United fell victim to a 3-2 defeat away to Brighton last time out, and the Red Devils have looked far from convincing so far this season.

In stark contrast, Tottenham have their highest points tally in three years from the opening three games, and they still have one to spare.

An opening day victory away to Newcastle, followed up by a superb 3-1 display at Wembley against Fulham sees Spurs at the top of the table, along with the other unbeaten sides.

However, it isn’t only Sanchez providing the injury boosts for Tottenham, as Erik Lamela and Harry Winks both featured for the first time in cameos on derby day against Fulham.

Lamela made an instant positive impact, driving at the defence and setting up Kane’s first ever August goal. While Winks didn’t have time to change the game in any great way, he received a rapturous applause after a return from his long-term absence.

Spurs are flying high, and United are walking wounded, who do you think will come out on top at Old Trafford?
