Injury expert predicts Tottenham player could be ‘out longer than initially expected’

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has revealed that Manor Solomon could be out for an extended amount of time and that we might not know until the end of May just how much time it might take the winger to return to full fitness.

Things have not gone according to plan for Solomon in his first season at Spurs. The winger has not kicked a ball since suffering a meniscus injury back in August of last year and is yet to score his first goal for the club.

The 24-year-old has had some setbacks in his road to recovery and he himself took to Instagram last month to admit that the past few months have been ‘the most difficult and frustrating’ time of his career.

A few weeks ago, Spurs confirmed that the Israel international underwent minor surgery to the meniscus on his right knee but they did not provide any information regarding his expected recovery time.

However, the player’s agent subsequently confirmed that his client may not be able to start running again before the start of June (Sport1).

Manor Solomon could be out for a while at Spurs

Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, has now told Tottenham News about Solomon’s recovery: “His latest procedure was meniscus related and there are multiple options there in terms of the specifics, which haven’t been provided by the club as it is a complicated one.

“He has now been out for an extended amount of time with multiple procedures which typically creates a longer runway for rehab so he could even be out longer than initially expected.

“With that in mind, it is really difficult to say where exactly he is with his rehab as these are still the initial stages and we’ll have a clearer idea towards the end of May.”

The club and the player will be hoping to be 100 per cent fit by the start of pre-season. Hopefully, the latest surgery has fixed the issue and the winger can get his career back on track next season.
