Injury news ahead of today’s trip to Huddersfield

Tottenham Hotspur’s injury room is getting busier by the day, as a number of first team stars are now major doubts for both the trip to Huddersfield and the huge Champions League tie against Barcelona mid-week.

Spurs captain Hugo Lloris is fighting to be fit for both matches after sustaining a thigh injury a few weeks ago. Deputising shot stopped Michel Vorm is also out of contention after picking up his own injury.

Luckily third-choice Paulo Gazzaniga has taken to life in a Spurs shirt like a duck to water, picking up three man-of-the-match awards in his first three games.

Star playmaker Christian Eriksen is also unlikely to be ready for the game today, and Barcelona on Wednesday may also come too fast for the Great Dane.

The Independent report that there is a slim chance Eriksen may make the European clash.

Tottenham have received fresh injury problems towards the end of this week, as returning maestro and captain against Watford, Dele Alli has picked up a re-occurring hamstring injury.

Initial reports from The Daily Mail say that the midfield man may be out for up to a month.

Spurs are walking wounded at a time when the fixtures are coming thick and fast.
