Injury update as key man returns ahead of Chelsea clash

Contrary to an Evening Standard report earlier this week, Davinson Sanchez will not be returning to the side this week, as he aims to make a come back before the end of 2018.

However, it isn’t all doom and gloom for Pochettino because as one central defender departs, another one comes back to first team training.

Tottenham revealed on Twitter that Jan Vertonghen is back in training after missing nine games with a hamstring injury.

We believe he could feature in some way this weekend.

The club also confirmed that Mousa Dembele is continuing his rehab in Qatar after sustaining an ankle injury.

Danny Rose is in the final stages of his rehab before making a return to first team training.

Our right-sided full back Kieran Trippier hopes to shake off his own injury by the end of this month.

It looks as if Tottenham will have a near-full compliment of first team stars by the end of November, with only Dembele, Sanchez, Luke Amos, and Vincent Janssen as the longer term layoffs.
