Inter chief speaks on rumoured Bale bid

Inter Milan’s chief executive officer denied a report that his team is planning a £40 million offer for Tottenham winger Gareth Bale.

The Guardian newspaper reported earlier today that Inter were set to make a bumper offer for the Welshman.

“It is incorrect,” Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo said in a telephone interview. “It’s not true.”

Harry Redknapp has previously said that 21-year-old Bale is not for sale.

  1. Absolute bunch of dicks. Man utd tactics.

I was listening to talksport in the wake of these rumours, and they said Levy said under no circumstances will any top players be sold in the summer.

Now, let’s put that nonsense to one side and move on.

  2. Personally I don’t think £40 million is anything near enough. He is already one of the best left sided players in the world and he’s 21. Who would Spurs replace him with ? I think Inter would need a bid of much more. Bale’s under contract and I don’t think he’d want to go to a foreign country with a different language – it took him long enough to settle when he moved to Spurs from Southampton !
