An Inter Milan chief has been desperate to sign a senior Tottenham Hotspur man for a long time, and he now senses an opportunity to do just that.

The outlet says that with doubts growing about Yann Sommer’s abilities, Vicario is seen as the ideal choice to take over between the sticks for the Nerazzurri.
In fact, it is alleged that the Italy international is an ‘old obsession’ of Inter CEO Beppe Marotta, who remains keen on taking him to the San Siro.
However, the report points out that Vicario is contracted to Sprus until 2028, thus making a deal difficult for the Serie A club.

This report comes just a day after Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Vicario wants to return to Italy at the end of the season amid his struggles at Spurs.
The outlet claimed that the 29-year-old’s representatives have now opened dialogues with Inter regarding a move next summer.
It was alleged that the Italian giants would be willing to put €30m (£26.3m) on the table for the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper.
