Inter Milan director sends warning to Spurs and Conte about January raid

Inter Milan sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has warned Tottenham of making approaches for any of their players in January, insisting that offers will not be entertained.

Since Conte’s arrival, various reports have emerged outlining the players that the Italian allegedly wants to bring to Spurs.

The Sun have claimed the former Chelsea boss could be handed a whopping £150m war chest for new recruits.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato.it have reported that the new Spurs boss wants to raid the Serie A for five players including Inter Milan duo Marcelo Brozovic and Stefan de Vrij. The Daily Mail have stated the 52-year-old also wants to poach Nicolo Barella from his former club.

In his press conference on Wednesday, Tottenham’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici did not disclose whether the club have had any discussions with Conte regarding a budget for January.

Ausilio has now insisted that he is not worried by the prospect of the recently departed Inter boss raiding his former club.

The Nerazzurri sporting director told Sky Italia (as relayed by The Daily Express): “I’m not worried about Antonio Conte and our players. In January we won’t consider any possible exit.”

One would expect Ausilio to say this publicly. So, it does not come as a surprise. However, I do wonder if Inter will make it especially difficult for Spurs to raid them in January as opposed to other clubs, given the less than ideal manner in which Conte’s time at the club ended during the summer.
