Inter Milan eyeing up a potential deal for Spurs’ £30m flop

Inter Milan are considering a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Sissoko, according to TuttoSport.

The Frenchman made a last minute move to Spurs from Newcastle United for £30m in the summer of 2016 and has failed to impress since the switch.

Portuguese midfielder Jao Mario’s departure is inevitable from Inter and Luciano Spalletti is hoping to replace Mario with an experienced successor.

However, Sissoko is believed to be one of just a few replacements Inter have in mind with the likes of Mateo Kovačić, Adrien Rabiot and Nicoló Barella also on the shortlist.

Sissoko made 33 Premier League appearances last campaign but only managed to net one goal which came in a 4-0 victory over Huddersfield in Septemeber.

A potential move to Serie A would bring a transfer fee of around £20m for the 28-year-old but with an ongoing injury to Victor Wanyama and an inevitable injury to Mousa Dembele could Spurs afford to let go of Sissoko?
