International manager claims ‘Tottenham are insisting on signing’ this striker

Kosovo manager, Agim Ademi, has now revealed that Tottenham are insisting on signing centre-forward, Vedat Muriqi, in the summer transfer window (GazetaOlle).

He claims that the North London club were willing to pay whatever Fenerbahce wanted for him, however, other clubs have joined the race since then.

Ademi names Napoli as an interested party, but adds that other teams in Italy are also interested in the Kosovan star.

The 26-year-old striker has scored 15 goals and assisted a further six in 28 games this season (Transfer Markt). Muriqi’s contract with Fenerbahce runs out at the end of the 2022/23 season

Fanatik reported recently that Muriqi is keen on joining Tottenham following rumoured interest from the North London club. This followed another report from the same outlet claiming that Spurs were willing to pay £22m for the striker.

Spurs were left without a recognised senior striker when Harry Kane picked up a nasty injury on the first day of the new year.

Ademi said (as relayed by Sport Witness): “Tottenham are insisting on signing Muriqi but there are also other teams in Italy who are interested in him. Tottenham were ready to pay whatever Fenerbahce wants, but since then, other Serie A clubs have entered the race, such as Napoli.”
