Tottenham Hotspur went on an incredible journey last season in the Champions League, fighting their way to the final in Madrid against eventual champions Liverpool.
The club also managed to push Liverpool and Man City for the title until around February, before falling away and securing a top-four finish instead.
After such a successful season, four Tottenham stars have now been named in the EA SPORTS FIFA team of the year shortlist.
Heung Min Son was electric last season, particularly in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund and Man City in the knockouts, as he earns a spot on the short-list.
Harry Kane was also in fine form, despite multiple injuries, as he finished as Tottenham’s top goal scorer yet again.
Jan Vertonghen, who put in some sensational defensive performances in the Champions League, as well as that wing-back masterclass against Dortmund, also finds himself nominated.
However, some fans are confused as to how Christian Eriksen’s name has popped onto the list:
What’s Eriksen doing there ??

I swear people just don’t watch Eriksen this year, rivals until recently thought he was still v good and it’s been about 8/9 months since he stopped performing at his max
