‘It just clicks’ – Jack Grealish makes claim about playing with Spurs’ Harry Kane

Jack Grealish has admitted that he seems to have a natural understanding with Tottenham’s Harry Kane when the pair are on the pitch together for England.

Grealish was handed his first competitive start by Gareth Southgate in the Nations League clash against Belgium on Sunday.

Although England fell to a 2-0 defeat on the night, which ended their hopes of qualifying for the Nations League finals, the Villa midfielder certainly showed why he deserves a regular place in the Three Lions’ starting eleven.

He looked threatening whenever he got the ball and was the only player, apart from Kane, who seemed to consistently threaten the Belgium defence.

There were makings of a really good partnership between Kane and Grealish, with the pair being involved in some lovely link-up play across the 90 minutes.

The Villa star admitted that he enjoyed playing with the England captain and that he tried to look for him whenever he got the ball.

When asked about his link-up with Kane, Grealish told (via Lenex Web): “I think it just clicks with certain players. Every time I had the ball I was trying to look for him because I know what damage he can cause in and around the box.”
