Italian giants reportedly planning swoop for Spurs star

It has been reported by Italian outlet Tuttosport that Juventus are eyeing up a January swoop for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.

They claim that Juventus are desperate to add to their attacking options in the new year, shortlisting Eriksen, Ramsey, and Pogba for potential purchases.

This comes after reports that new contract negotiations between Eriksen’s agent and Spurs have stalled (DailyMail).

The Great Dane is currently contracted until the summer of 2020, meaning he has under two years left on his deal.

Spurs may soon have to face the decision of whether to keep him and risk the contract ticking down, or to get some big money while they still can.

Eriksen joined Spurs in 2013 from Ajax for a reported fee of £11.5m (BBC), so the return Tottenham could get on their investment is huge.

However, they would much rather tie him down to a big new deal and keep him for themselves.

The 26-year-old has scored 57 goals and set up 73 in 239 appearances for the club.
