‘He has to adjust’ – Bastoni’s agent comments on player’s future amidst Spurs links

The agent of Alessandro Bastoni has stressed that the defender is happy to stay at Inter Milan, however, also insisted that he ‘is also a professional and has to adjust’ to the market.

The 23-year-old central defender is said to be a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with Inter reported to be unwilling to accept anything below £51million to sanction the sale of the player who has two years remaining on his current deal (Football.London).

Bastoni was in England earlier this week as part of the Italian squad’s –UEFA Cup of Champions showpiece against Argentina at Wembley.

“He is certainly a big fan of the team he plays for, so he will happily remain at Inter,” His agent Tullio Tinti told Italian television outlet Sportitalia as reported by Alfredo Pedulla.

“However, he is also a professional. This is football and he has to adjust. It’s clear he is very happy to play for Inter and feels this jersey like a tattoo on his skin.”

It is increasingly clear that Bastoni wants to remain at Inter Milan, however, what could happen if Spurs would meet the Serie A outfit’s valuation would be an interesting prospect.

Josep Gvardiol is another said to be on Spurs’ radar, but would also cost a hefty amount of money.
