Italian journalist claims Paratici may have opened talks with AC Milan over midfielder

AC Milan may have opened talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a move for Moussa Sissoko, according to Italian football journalist Carlo Pellegatti.

The Italian giants are reported to be in the market for a new holding midfielder with Pellegatti claiming during an interview with MilanLive that the 31-year-old is on their radar.

The former Newcastle player has also been linked with a move to Fenerbache (A Spor).

Sissoko is back at the club following his involvement at Euro 2020 and has been training with the squad, but was an unused substitute during Sunday’s pre-season friendly win against North London rivals Arsenal.

Pellegatti revealed that he has heard from an English source that there has been contact between Fabio Paratici and Milan, however, he has yet to verify the report.

Sissoko has two years left to run on his contract at Tottenham said to be keen to offload the midfielder, who earns £80,000-a-week (The Sun).

Sissoko’s time at Tottenham has come to a natural end, and at 31, it could represent the club’s last opportunity to recoup a decent amount of money for him.
