Italian names Spurs star as ‘strongest player I have played with’ and a ‘force of nature’

Tottenham Hotspur star Ivan Perisic has been described as ‘a force of nature’ by Alessandro Patacchini, who told Football News 24 that the Croatian is the best player he has ever played with.

Perisic has enjoyed a fantastic career to date, turning out for top European teams like Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan. He won the Champions League with Bayern, as well as the Bundesliga, the Serie A title, and various domestic honours (Transfermarkt).

The Croatia international made 254 appearances for Inter Milan (Transfermarkt), but when his contract ran out at the end of last season, he decided to reunite with former manager Antonio Conte at Tottenham. Perisic was the first signing of the summer for Spurs, arriving on a free (Sky Sports).

He has enjoyed a fairly strong start to life in North London, too. Perisic has registered seven assists in his first 21 appearances for the Lilywhites across all competitions (Transfermarkt). It seems wherever he goes, he cannot help but impress those around him.

That’s certainly the case for Patacchini, who was coming through the ranks at Inter while Perisic was still in Italy. The young winger cited Perisic as the best player he’s had the pleasure of sharing a pitch with.

He said: “Ivan Perisic is unquestionably the strongest player I have played with, a force of nature.”

There was also special praise for Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski, too. Patacchini added: “Speaking of opponents instead I would mention Dejan Kulusevski of Tottenham and Moise Kean of Juventus.”

I imagine for a young player playing alongside Ivan Perisic, you’d just be in awe of what he is capable of. He’s the kind of player who just looks so effortless and has such a wide range of skills, you can just give him the ball and he will make something happen more often than not.
