The Football Terrace journalist, Dean Jones has claimed that sources from within Tottenham have revealed how confusing and chaotic the manager search has become.

Jones claimed that he has been speaking with these sources for years and they always know what is going on at the club.

However, this summer, they have revealed that they no longer understand what is going on and the manager search has become difficult to follow.

As reported by Football London, Tottenham have been linked with and in talks with a whole host of names this summer after sacking Jose Mourinho back in late April.

Julian Nagelsmann, Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca, Gennaro Gattuso and most recently, Nuno Espirito Santo have all been heavily linked with the North London hot seat.

The Sun have even reported that Brighton manager, Graham Potter would snub Spurs as he wants to manage Man City one day instead.

Jones said: “Honestly, it’s chaos. It’s absolute chaos this search for a new manager.

“I speak to people I have spoken to for years at Tottenham and they always know what is going on. They will always give me the inside track of how they see things opening up and what I should expect coming up.

“In the early days of this manager search, they were pretty confident that they knew what was happening which each of the candidates.

“But it comes to now and honestly they are like ‘I don’t want to tell you stuff anymore because I feel like I don’t know and I am almost part of the conversations’.

“The guys I speak to aren’t hearing the stories first-hand. They aren’t in the room with Daniel Levy and Paratici on the discussions. But then they hear it from the agents themselves. They see it’s been so difficult to follow.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

It sounds as though even Levy and Paratici are confused about the manager search, let alone those below and the fans. If Tottenham don’t have a new manager in place by the first day of pre-season, it will be an absolute disaster.
