It’s hard to defend Pochettino after that. It’s impossible to defend absolutely any one of the players after that. We hit never-before-seen levels of capitulation after conceding the 5th. Beyond words like pathetic & embarassing. Beyond any humiliating results we’ve ever had.

Tottenham Hotspur were humiliated by Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich tonight in North London with the Germans running out 7-2 winners.
The home side started the game well and fashioned some good chances in the first thirty minutes. However, Bayern took control in the final stages of the first half and went into the break 2-1 up courtesy of two brilliant finishes from Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski.
The second half was a completely different story as Tottenham made several changes in an effort to come back into the game, only for Bayern to pick them off on the counter.
Niko Kovac’s side were clinical in front of goal as they made all their chances count while the Lilywhites didn’t know what hit them after the interval.
Some Spurs fans on social media were extremely critical of the team as well as Mauricio Pochettino after the embarrassing result.
Here’s how they reacted to the humiliation:
So yeah we’re shit

Our whole back line is absolutely finished. Every one of them needs to be binned. Winks is a squad player AT BEST. Aurier is finished, Rose is finished.
Big scrap of this squad needed.

The only positive (and I’m severely reaching here) is that we can still comfortably get out of the group.
But if anyone believed there wasn’t a problem, then tonight confirmed them wrong. We have big, big problems.

As much as Mauricio Pochettino knows this squad better than anyone, what’s clear is the diamond formation simply doesn’t work for Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s impossible trying to force a playing style or tactic upon players, especially when some of them lack commitment.#THFC #COYS

We've lost the plot. Another poor performance from this team @SpursOfficial
Fuck it

A manager can only do things to an extent when you concede 4 out of 7 goals because of a player's mistake.

The first half shape was wrong I thought the second half shape was even worse.
Poch must take some blame for nullifying Son in the second half and not actually playing a defensive midfielder – which was so badly needed tonight. #THFC #COYS #TOTBAY

If you let in 7 in the Champions League you should automatically be sent to Europa. Scrap the other 4 games.

Spurs Web Opinion
Not only does this result put Tottenham’s chances of qualifying from the group in jeopardy but it will likely severely dent the players’ confidence. It will certainly be a hard ask for the team to put this result behind them and try to salvage the season. The one saving grace is the fact that the Lilywhites still have a decent chance to qualify from the group.
