‘It’s offensive’ – Some Spurs fans react to reported wage club are offering Heung-min Son

Football Insider have revealed that Tottenham have offered Son Heung-min a new five-year contract that is worth a whopping £60m in total.

It was reported last week that Spurs were close to agreeing on a new deal with Son that would see the South Korean get a significant pay rise as a reward for his brilliant performances over recent months (Athletic).

Jose Mourinho admitted in his press conference after Tottenham’s 3-0 win over LASK that there is a desire from all parties to get a new deal signed that would see the 28-year-old commit his long-term future to the club (Daily Mail).

Football Insider have now revealed that the Lilywhites are working hard behind the scenes to try and get Son to extend his stay.

They reveal that Spurs have put a contract offer on the table that would see the pacey forward almost double his current salary.

The deal offered is said to be worth £200,000-a-week plus performance-related bonuses, that would see Son join Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele as the club’s highest-paid players.
