Ivan Perisic issues injury update after coming off with knock for Croatia

Ivan Perisic has taken to Instagram to heavily imply that he has no injury worries after being taken off with a knock against Denmark this week.

Perisic came up against his Tottenham teammate, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, at the Stadion Maksimir this week and the pair collided in the 67th minute.

The Croatian attempted to skip past Spurs’ midfield enforcer, who used his body to ease Perisic off the ball, sending him to the ground. By all means, it was a superb recovery from Hojbjerg, but it seemed to leave his club teammate with an injury concern.

The Daily Star reported at the time that Perisic was ‘forced off’ due to the knock sustained from his altercation with Hojbjerg, leaving many Spurs fans worried about his condition.

But Perisic has now taken to social media (25/09/22) to ease those fears, showing pictures of him running and leaping through the air for Croatia in training.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Keeping players fit is key this season, even more so than any other. The teams that come through the World Cup with the vast majority of their squad free from injury or fatigue will likely be the ones fighting at the top end of the table.
