According to reports in the press, Tottenham will be looking to add several new players to the squad this summer, after two transfer windows of complete inactivity.
Right full-back is said to be a priority position for Mauricio Pochettino to address in the summer, with reports claiming that Tottenham are interested in Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka (The Sun).
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are willing to let Kieran Trippier leave for a fee of around £40m, and the England international is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.
While Trippier has come under a lot of criticism from Spurs fans for his performances this season, 21-year-old Wan-Bissaka has been one of the best full backs in the top flight.
So, naturally, some Man Utd fans weren’t keen on taking Trippier off Tottenham’s hands so that the Lillywhtites can go after the younger, more dynamic Wan-Bissaka.
Here’s how some fans reacted on social media to the news:

Rumours that Manchester United are interested in Kieran Trippier. If we sign him this summer just for Spurs to replace him with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, then I’ve got no hope for this club anymore.

If we sign Trippier, I personally will hunt down Ed and the Glazers. Wan-Bissaka is the one.
