Jack Clarke finally seems to be taking positive steps at Leeds United

Tottenham Hotspur went almost 18 months without signing a single new player across the 2018/19 season, eventually ending the drought with Jack Clarke.

Spurs signed the teenager from Leeds, but loaned him straight back to the Championship club, one would assume to enhance his chances of getting regular game time.

Unfortunately, it hasn’t panned out that way for the youngster, as he has still yet to appear in the league for his boyhood club this season. Clarke has been reduced to U23 football and two appearances in the EFL Cup (TransferMarkt).

While the Spurs man made the bench for the first two Championship matches of the season, he then missed out on a place in the squad for the next six weeks.

However, Clarke seems to finally be back in the fold, if not on the pitch, making appearances on the bench for the last two Championship games.

Is it now just a matter of time for the winger, or should he still be recalled in January? The Mirror recently reported that the latter was on the cards.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Bring him back. Get him in the U23 set-up at Spurs, have him train with the first-team, and get him some cameos on the pitch.
