Jack Clarke releases first statement since being recalled from Leeds back to Spurs

It was hardly the dream season for Jack Clarke in 2019/20 at his boyhood club of Leeds United, but the Championship nightmare has now drawn to a close.

It has been reported that Spurs have taken the decision to recall the teenager from loan back to North London (Sky Sports).

While Clarke broke into the side as a first-team regular towards the end of last season, he was used sparingly, to say the least, this time around.

In the first half of the campaign, Clarke only managed one Championship appearance as a substitute against Luton Town for just 19 minutes (Transfer Markt).

This would have been far from what Spurs had in mind when they loaned the player back to his former team.

It is unclear whether Spurs will now put Clarke into their own youth set-up, first-team, or loan him back out to a different club, but the player has sent a classy message to Leeds United and the supporters of the club.
