Jack Clarke’s dad hits out on Twitter over claims against his son

Tottenham Hotspur’s wait to sign a new star may just about be over, as reports have suggested that Jack Clarke will be announced as a Spurs player on Monday (Leeds Live).

This comes after Tottenham reportedly agreed a fee of £10m with Leeds United, in a deal that could rise to £11.5 after add ons (Guardian).

Clarke is said to have completed his medical on Thursday in North London, with extra precautions taken due to the fact that he collapsed in the dugout for Leeds towards the end of last season (Standard).

The 18-year-old winger impressed during his breakthrough campaign in 2018/19, appearing in 25 games, and scoring two goals despite only starting his first match in January.

However, ex-Leeds star Danny Mills hit out at Clarke last week, claiming that the Spurs move could push the youngster’s career backwards as he won’t start many games (Sky Sports).

Clarke’s father took these comments to heart, hitting out at Mills on Twitter for getting involved.
