Tottenham player earns England recall ahead of Euro 2024

Gareth Southgate has named his England squad for the upcoming friendly doubler header against Brazil and Belgium this month.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has been included in Southgare’s squad selection having missed the UEFA Euro qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia in November as a result of the ankle injury he picked up during Spurs’ defeat to Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just a couple of weeks prior.

Eric Dier, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season having been made surplus to requirements in Ange Postecoglou‘s Tottenham first-team squad has been overlooked for selection.
