Jamie O’Hara asks Premier League striker to sign for Spurs live on air

Jamie O’Hara asked striker Ivan Toney to sign for Tottenham Hotspur live on talkSPORT this week.

The former midfielder was speaking to the Brentford talisman this morning and made the request following Tottenham’s dismal North London derby loss on Sunday. 

Spurs fell to an embarrassing defeat at the Emirates and were simply blown away within 35 minutes after finding themselves 3-0 down. 

Heung-min Son scored what was ultimately a conciliation for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, who already has his back against the wall after suffering a back-to-back 3-0 defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea ahead of the North London Derby.

Bees striker Toney, on the other hand, saw his side fare slightly better this weekend, playing his part in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Liverpool on Saturday evening. 

Thomas Frank’s team have settled well in the top flight, and see themselves in ninth coincidentally above both Spurs and Arsenal after six games. 

Toney has scored and assisted two goals so far, which prompted O’Hara to make a cheeky request for him to move across London to Spurs. 

“Ivan, last question from me, I have to ask, when are you signing for Spurs?” O’Hara said live on talkSPORT (8:43 am, September 27, 2021). 

The Brentford man simply laughed off the question.

O’Hara is probably still hurting from Sunday’s poor showing against Arsenal and is probably looking to take anything he can get regarding freshening up the side.

Toney is proving to be a tough customer for defenders so far with his pace and strength and has established himself as the talisman of Brentford’s team.
