Jamie O’Hara claims Jose Mourinho has ‘had enough’ of Spurs’ summer signing

Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Jose Mourinho has had enough of Gareth Bale after the Tottenham winger only came on for the final few minutes of the 2-2 draw against Newcastle.

It appeared a matter of weeks ago that Bale had turned a corner after a difficult first few months at the club.

However, the Welshman has now once again dropped down the pecking order, not having started a game since his poor performance in the North London derby last month.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding the 31-year-old’s future and whether or not he is likely to return to Spurs next season.

Real Madrid are said to be keen on getting rid of the winger and it has been reported that Tottenham have the first refusal on re-signing him on loan next season.

However, O’Hara is of the opinion that Mourinho has already made his mind up about the Welshman.

The former Tottenham midfielder told Stadium Astro: “The Gareth Bale saga, I think everyone has had enough of that now, even Jose Mourinho has had enough.

“You can see, he brings him on for five minutes. He had a couple of weeks, three weeks of him producing, playing well, scoring goals, but in the two big games, Arsenal and Zagreb, he was poor.”

As we do not have too many midweek fixtures to contend with until the end of the season, it is difficult to see Bale getting too much game time. If the Welshman warms the bench and is reduced to a few cameos, I do not see why Spurs would consider re-signing him for next season.
