Jamie O’Hara has claimed a number of the Tottenham squad looked disappointed in the tunnel at Anfield after drawing their Premier League fixture against Liverpool.

The points were shared in Merseyside on Saturday after Heung-min Son’s 20th goal of the season was cancelled out by a heavily deflected Luis Diaz effort from the edge of the area in the second half.

The result keeps Spurs below fourth-placed Arsenal in the race for Champions League football with the Gunners having a chance to extend the gap with victory over Leeds, while Liverpool’s title hopes have taken a dent ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Newcastle.

Antonio Conte’s men held their own for the vast majority of proceedings against the Reds by restricting them to limited sights of goal, which has kept them unbeaten against the top two in the league this term.

But even taking a point at the home of one of the best teams in Europe left some of the Tottenham squad looking dejected, according to ex-midfielder O’Hara.

The player-turned-pundit revealed there was disappointment from a number of Spurs players at full-time in the tunnel, while hailing the ‘high standards’ Conte has set at the club in not being able to claim victory.

Tottenham’s attention will now quickly turn towards a crucial North London Derby against Arsenal on Thursday – a fixture which will swing momentum in either side’s direction.

Tottenham worked hard against Liverpool and they were a little unlucky to come away with just a point, despite the hosts expectedly dominating the ball.

The fact some of the players are disappointed with a result like this just shows how well they thought they played, while also believing they deserved more with some of the chances they carved out.
