Jamie O’Hara has already seen enough of one of Tottenham’s summer signings, demanding that the club get rid of the player following his struggles against Aston Villa.
While there was still some optimism among parts of the Spurs fan base that things would click into gear ahead of Saturday’s clash, the 3-2 loss to Villa has now led to panic among a lot of supporters.
Many are wondering if the club could find themselves battling against the drop for a second season in a row despite spending big in the summer to strengthen their squad.
One outspoken pundit believes that the club have made some major errors in their summer recruitment.

Jamie O’Hara wants Tottenham to get rid of Jan Paul van Hecke
Jamie O’Hara was furious with the performance that Spurs produced against Unai Emery’s side, who were also winless in the Premier League coming into yesterday’s game.
The pundit blasted Jan Paul van Hecke’s defending and called on the club to get rid of the Dutchman, while he also blasted Sandro Tonali and Dominic Solanke.
O’Hara said on X: “Van Hecke is in cement, cement. Get rid of him. Get rid of him. Solanke – waste of space. Savio thinks he is playing Under-21s football. He’s absolutely guff. Tonali – a £100m – turning his back, turning his back. It is a joke. I hate this football club. I hate it. I hate it.”
Van Hecke has made a solid start to his Spurs career
Among all of Tottenham’s summer signings, one can argue that Van Hecke has performed the best so far this season.
While the former Brighton man does have limitations when it comes to pace and athleticism, his passing from the back is arguably as good as any centre-back in the world.
While the Tottenham backline made some unacceptable errors against Villa, the Van Hecke-Van de Ven partnership has the potential to blossom into a world-class one in the future.
