Jamie Redknapp not confident of Beckham deal for Spurs

Jamie Redknapp feels that there are too many obstacles for David Beckham to complete a loan move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Beckham and Spurs are both said to be keen on a deal, but both must persuade LA Galaxy about Beckham coming back to Europe for a third time.

“I don’t think it will happen,” the 37-year-old told Sky Sports.

“Dad likes him but I don’t think it will happen. There are too many obstacles.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. DITTO … We are having our best run in many years, Every player has contributed to get us to our present dizzy heights. Who is gonna get dropped for this short time playboy ???
Lets be honest he doesnt give a shite about Spurs he just wants to feature in a successful team so he can show off to Capello… If he was that keen why is he demanding 120k per week ???
    Nah F%#K him !!
This just sounds like an ego trip for Harry

  2. Harry says he wants David Becks becasue of the way he trains? thats crap. One thing I think he would help Tottenham with is publicity. I never new who LA Galaxy was till Becks went there, So Becks coming to Tottenham will mean more people will know who we are. I'm not a big fan of becks but let face it people love him

  3. We need a striker, so this is for the best anyway, I didnt mind him coming cause he can help a lot with deadball situations and he couldve taught the boys a few things about crossing, he has good pace still (at least equivalent to Bentley's), and not to mention he's one the reasons why Crouch has a good international tally.

  4. The worrying issue on hand is our encounter with Everton & not Beckham. A game we have to win. How best can we select a side, taking into account injuries, suspensions & fatigue to some of the regulars? Would like to see a team that will perform better than the Fulham game.

  5. no real point in Beckham coming for two months, use the money for a striker. Beckham was quality on and off the pitch but now i fail to see him enhance our team! if we can beat Everton away then four out of four xmas games proves we have the minerals to go far! COYS!
