Jamie Redknapp singles out Spurs player for praise after Norwich match

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp has praised Christian Eriksen’s performance against Norwich City.

The Dane came back into Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven for the trip to Carrow Road and produced a performance which Spurs fans have been used to witnessing in previous seasons.

The 27-year-old scored a stunning free kick from the edge of the Canaries penalty area to level the score at 1-1.

Eriksen, who is out of contract at the North London club at the end of the season revealed just days after the Champions League final loss to Liverpool that he felt it was time to experience a fresh challenge whilst admitting that he would welcome interest from Real Madrid (Ekstra Bladet).

The former Ajax man will be able to discuss a pre contract deal with clubs on the continent when the transfer window opens next month before walking away in the summer as a free agent.

“The technique is so good, he does that so often [for his free-kick goal],” Redknapp told Sky Sports Premier League TV channel (28/12/19 at 20:00 pm)

“I thought he was excellent.

“When Eriksen plays like that, and in that manner and he is so comfortable on the ball, he is a classy player.”
