Jan Vertonghen absolutely humiliates Spurs team-mate with Instagram response

Jan Vertonghen has wasted no time in absolutely destroying his Tottenham Hotspur team-mate Eric Dier on Instagram.

Dier posted a photo alongside some of the Sporting Lisbon players that included former Manchester United player Nani with the caption that translates into English as “green and white family.”

Vertonghen, who is currently out injured with a hamstring injury replied with a quick-witted comment stating “You look VERY happy to see them…”

The Belgian’s comment is in reference to the ‘shape’ of Dier’s trousers within the photo. Over 900 people have liked Vertonghen’s comment with some fans calling him a legend for such a reply of trying to embarrass his team-mate.

Dier came through the ranks at Sporting. At seven he emigrated with his parents and five siblings from England to Portugal, due to his mother, Louise, having got the job of running the hospitality programme for the 2004 European Championship.

After a year in the Algarve they moved to Lisbon and Dier was scouted and taken into Sporting’s youth setup and joined Spurs in 2014.
