It wasn’t all good news for Tottenham Hotspur last night, as Jan Vertonghen left the scene of their sensational Champions League comeback on crutches and in a protective boot.
Initial reports suggested that the club doctors were not too worried about the injury, and the boot was just a precaution (HLN).
Vertonghen is said to have picked up a knock in the first half against Ajax, but chose to play on through the injury, and almost even scored the winner himself late on.
Jan has now posted a picture of his foot, still wrapped up, on Instagram.
