Recalling that Vincent Janssen has joined Fenerbahce on a long-season loan last summer, we haven’t heard much of him since. The “last season flop” was under a lot of speculation before his move, as he did not meet what the fans were expecting and following the arrival of Fernando Llorente, was shipped off to Turkey.
This season, however, Janssen proved that he still has a place in the world of football with his fine performances with his new club. According to Whoscored.com, Janssen has scoried two goals so far this season for club, and two for country, which might not seem really what some fans might be looking for. However, Janssen seems to be much more promising than last season, with his abilities improving by time, and keeping an average of almost 6.6 so far. Still, Vincent has the same finishing issue, which is his common weakness that we have seen pretty much last year.
Janssen had an excellent season in the Dutch league, before joining us and becoming a club “flop”. However, Janssen is looking very promising indeed this season, hailed by some as the “king” after his great games against Alanyaspor and Besiktas.
Do you think Janssen will do well? Or should he be sold as soon as he comes back?
